ZAPTEC is the first to launch three-phase charging on the IT grid. All ZAPTEC Pro systems used in larger charging stations will also now support three-phase charging on the IT grid. Owners of ZAPTEC will be able to charge faster while ensuring that power metering is correct on all phases.

In Norway, there are two types of power grid: the IT grid with 230 volts and the TN grid with 400 volts. IT grids are not widely used elsewhere in the world, which means that vehicle manufacturers have not made it a priority.
This function is only available for EVs which support it. At the moment, we know that the following models will support three-phase charging on the IT grid:

Tesla Model S
Tesla Model 3
Audi e-tron
Mercedes EQ
