Norsk Vind: awarded Årets Vindkrigar 2012 and 2013

Årets vindkrigar 2013:
Two years in a row, The “Oscars” of the wind power industry goes to Norsk Vind for Høg-Jæren vindpark. Last year the award went to the best producing wind turbine in 2012.

The Norwegian Wind Energy Association (NORWEA) has this year looked at Norwegian wind farms above 10MW, and named this year’s winner from which of the wind farms performed best on their own terms, said Carl Gustaf Rye-Florentz, production-consultant at Norwea.

Høg-Jæren wind farm in Rogaland produced 222 GWh last year. This is 104,7 percent, which is almost five per cent more than expected. Read the news article on the website of Teknisk Ukeblad Here.

 

Årets vindkrigar 2012:
The award went to Norsk Vind for Turbine 2 at Høg-Jæren windpark, which is operated by Jæren Energi. The wind turbine produced the most full load hours in Norway in 2012, said Andreas Thon Aasheim, grid-consultant at Norwea.

The performance was over eight million kWh, which is very good figures. You will have a har time to find wind turbines that have over 3000 full load hours, and turbine 2 had 3592 hours, Aasheim said.
