Norsk e-Fuel: Welcomes Tesi to Investor Group for Sustainable Aviation Fuel

  • Sector: Infrastructure
  • Date: July 9, 2025

  • Company: Norsk e-Fuel is a European Consortium, headquartered in Oslo, promoting novel Power-to-Liquid (PtL) technologies in Norway and Europe.
Norsk e-Fuel strengthens its investor group with Tesi (Finnish Industry Investment Ltd), joining as an investor to support e-fuel production in the Nordics. The Finnish state-owned company brings capital and credibility to scale up sustainable aviation fuel and clean energy solutions. “Tesi’s entry is a key milestone in our journey into Finland and strengthens our path to commercial e-fuel production,” says Lars Bjørn Larsen, CEO of Norsk e-Fuel.

Tesi’s new strategy for larger investments in industrial projects supports Norsk e-Fuel’s facilities in Rauma and Imatra. As a local investor, Tesi attracts private capital and international players in a funding round led by Prime Capital, joined by heavyweights like Paul Wurth, Sunfire, and others. “The Rauma project promotes sustainability in aviation and Finland’s energy security, aligning perfectly with our strategy,” says Esa Koponen, Investment Director at Tesi.

Norsk e-Fuel aims to build three Power-to-Liquid production facilities by 2032, with an annual capacity of over 200,000 tons of synthetic fuel to reduce aviation emissions across Europe. With Tesi as a partner, the company strengthens its efforts toward a climate-friendly future through Nordic collaboration.
