FishGlobe: official opening of post-smolt fish farm

On the 19th if August, 150 people from around the world participated in the event. The globe was christened with a champange bottle by Nina Grieg, from Grieg Seafoot Rogaland, which will operate the facility.

FishGLOBE V5 is a post-smolt facility with a diameter of 22 meters (72 feet) and a 19 meter (62 feet) tall drain pipe is placed in the center. The globe holds 3500 cubic meters and can hold 250 tonnes of fish. 

ICON Systems and their suppliers perform the automation work of the facility. In practice, the post-smolt facility FishGLOBE V5 serves as a prototype the upcoming FishGLOBE V6. This is a full-scale fish farm with a capasity of 2300 tonnes of fish. It will have a diameter of 43 meter (141 feet) and be 26 meter (85 feet) high.
