“We are pleased to announce that we have successfully delivered and commissioned another large-scale shore power system, this time at Boskalis’ facilities in Waalhaven, Rotterdam,” says Johan Dredrik Dahle, CEO at Blueday Technology.

Boskalis, a global maritim services provider, entrusted Blueday Technology with the complete design, engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning of the shore power installation. The system is expected to generate 2 GWh of green electricity per year, resulting in an annual CO2 reduction of 1600 tons.

The green energy is supplied by the company Rotterdam Shore Power, a collaboration between Eneco and the Port of Rotterdam Authority, using Eneco’s green energy from Dutch wind and solar sources. In addition to CO2 reduction, shore power systems contributes significantly to improving air quality by reducing particulate matter and nitrogen emissions and contributes positively to the living environment by reducing noise levels.
