We are thrilled that the access to electricity is expected to boost the economic development of the Dohoue community, says Björn Kahle, Project Manager at SustainSolar.
ENGIE Energy Access has selected SustainSolar to provide a new mini-grid for the Dohoue community in Zogbodomey, Benin.
The installed mini-grid is a 90 kW/130 kWh SUSTAIN COMPACT™ container power solution, equipped with technology from Victron, BYD, and SUNGROW. The system is designed to provide electricity to 250 households and businesses in the Dohoue community, which currently has over 1500 residents. “We thank ENGIE Energy Access for their trust and are thrilled that the access to electricity is expected to boost the economic development of the Dohoue community,” says Björn Kahle, Project Manager at SustainSolar.
The mini-grid represents ENGIE’s first mini-grid in the region, with plans for an additional 20 mini-grids to extend electricity access to rural areas.
