The fish farm innovator FishGLOBE is to build their second 3.500 m³ floating and semi-closed smolt facility after successful deliveries from their first model.
The experiences from the first generation of FishGLOBE post-smolt resulted in 25% better growth, and reached 5 kg in just 10 months in open sea, says Tor Magne Madsen, Project Director at FishGLOBE. The experiences from the second and third deliveries confirm the positive trend, and zero resources has been spent on lice treatment, which shows that our technology works, Madsen concludes.
The unique water flow of FishGLOBE with 2-3 replacements per hour, provides an optimal flow and good circulation that results in good welfare and growth conditions, Madsen concluded. The next model in the series for FishGLOBE is a 10.000 m³ fish farm, which has a finalized design, and the company is now actively looking for partners to collaborate with.
