Heimdall Power: Expands to Asia with Project in Malaysia

  • Sector: Infrastructure
  • Date: December 10, 2023

Heimdall Power is marking its entry into the Asian market through a collaboration with Tenaga Nasional Berhad in Malaysia. In this project, Heimdall Power will utilize both Virtual and Physical Neurons to implement its advanced Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) technology.

Physical Neurons will be sent to Asia, where they will be deployed on multiple high-voltage transmission lines in Malaysia. “It is extremely gratifying to end this fantastic year by expanding Heimdall Power’s operations to a new continent. Tenaga is one of the leading energy companies in Asia, and we look forward to a long-term and fruitful collaboration,” says Jørgen Festervoll, CEO at Heimdall Power.

This new agreement is a significant expansion for Heimdall Power, which will now operate in 17 countries across three continents. This marks a substantial step for the company, especially following its recent establishment in the USA. Tenaga Nasional Berhad, the largest publicly listed energy company in Southeast Asia, serves over 10 million customers in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Lauban.

Heimdall Power’s expansion is a testament to the company’s ever-growing global footprint, further strengthened by their success in Germany, where they now have seven customers, including AmprionTenneT TSO GmbHStadtwerke München og Pfalzwerke Netz.
