Norsk Solar has delivered a complete turnkey solution consisting of eleven solar cell systems for off-taker Central Retail, one of the largest and fastest growing owners of shopping centers in Southeast Asia. The 11 MW portfolio includes one of the largest solar-powered solar power plants in Vietnam.

Vietnam is the world’s third largest solar market but is also dependent on coal power and is thus one of the most polluting countries in the world. The power plants will generate over 300,000 MWh of clean electricity and help to compensate for more than 198,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions during its lifetime of 25 years. The Central Retail project is also the first investment made by Nordic Impact Cooperation AS, a joint investment platform between Norsk Solar and Finnfund, a development financier and professional impact investor with the Finnish state as the majority owner.
