  • Date: January 1, 2022

  • Company: Valinor is a Norwegian family-owned investment company that makes early-stage investments in cutting-edge companies to enable solutions for tomorrow.

Jarle Veshovde started 1st of January as Director for Valinor’s focused investment strategy within energy. I am very eager to get started and looking forward to having the opportunity to work with exciting start-ups and entrepreneurs within an industry that is fast developing, says Jarle Veshovde, Investment Director of Energy at Valinor.

Jarle has over 20 years of experience from the oil and energy industry ranging from management and business development to materials technology and strategic development for both large companies and small start-ups. Veshovde holds a Master’s in Petroleum Technology from NTNU/NTH in Trondheim from year 2000.

Veshovde started his career within the oil service industry, moved on with focus on business development and management for several companies, and has the last 6 years managed the rapid growth for THREE60 Energy Norway (formerly Ridge AS) here in Norway as well as their international expansion.

Helping other entrepreneurs with good and sustainable ideas and plans within renewable energy seemed extremely exciting and was an opportunity I just couldn’t turn down, says Veshovde. I want to be a facilitator to use the extensive competence we already have from the oil industry both in Stavanger and the rest of the country, and help entrepreneurs and start-up companies to realize ideas and become a part of the growing renewable energy industry, Veshovde concludes. Valinor places great emphasis on all our investments being future-oriented, sustainable and competitive, says Pål Selboe Valseth, CEO at Valinor. We look forward to using Jarle’s expertise and experience in our work in the future, Valseth concludes.
