Zaptec: increases production capacity in Norway and Germany

  • Sector: Infrastructure
  • Date: October 5, 2022

  • Company: Zaptec is world-leading on smart charging systems for electric cars in housing co-operatives, businesses and at home.

Zaptec is entering a new phase of mass production which is expected to increase over the next few years and investment in new equipment and locations has been initiated to meet the increased demand.

Zaptec’s main production partner in Norway, Westcontrol, is increasing its production capacity with new facilities and production lines to meet the high demand for electric car chargers. In addition, Zaptec is pleased to announce its partnership with Sanmina Corporation in Germany, as a second manufacturing partner of electric car chargers.

The manufacturing company Sanmina is one of the largest global electronics manufacturers with its facilities strategically located to support Zaptec’s planned growth in Europe and the USA. With Westcontrol located in the Nordic region and Sanmina located in Germany, Zaptec will be able to more easily distribute quality chargers worldwide.

German manufacturing is known for its high quality and efficiency, and the fact that Germany is also the largest market in Europe does not hurt, either, says Peter Bardenfleth-Hansen, CEO at Zaptec. Sanmina is a global player with factories worldwide, which supports our global ambition to see Zaptec chargers powering adventures on every continent, concludes Bardenfleth-Hansen.
